Over the last year, I've had the opportunity to develop some artwork for the gym I'm a member of: PDX Strength in Portland, Ore. Their unofficial mascot is a Gym Rat character, which appears on their company logo.
Above is a T-shirt design I did for the gym featuring the Gym Rat holding the St. Johns bridge over his shoulders like Atlas. The gym is in the shadows of my favorite bridge in the city. The colors of the rat are in part from the green bridge color, but I also wanted a 90s bright color vibe for the character.
I designed my version of the character earlier in 2024. The rat performing the Turkish Get-Up was printed as a giant sticker and is on one of the walls.
